What makes Veggy Art classes different?

First, we start with a quality instructor who has a reputation the world around. James Parker has spent most of his professional career specializing in creating beautiful floral centerpieces out of common fruits and vegetables. He also has years of experience covering every aspect of buffet decorating and creating "show stopping" centerpieces.

Chef Parker has been featured on the Food Network more than any other fruit and vegetable sculptor. He currently holds the title and a Gold Medal from his win on the Food Network Challenge, Fantasy Fruit Sculpture REMATCH. Chef Parker also has the ability to ignite a passion for his art in others and teach them skills that usually take years to learn. Chef Parker is able to translate the ART of carving into language and make understandable what many have taught for centuries only by demonstrating.

Professionals and enthusiasts alike are equally encouraged to take any of our classes. Hands on step by step instructions are given so you can perfect the art of carving common fruits and vegetables into beautiful centerpieces. You will amaze your friends, family and even yourself.

How Do I enroll in the next Veggy Art Class?

Reserve your spot in the next Veggy Art Class by either paying online with a credit card at through the checkout link listed in the class info page, or by sending a check or money order to the address shown below. Make checks payable to "Veggy Art LLC". Be sure to let us know what date and which location you wish to attend.  Online payments are secured and processed through paypal.

What do I need to bring?

It would be helpful to bring a small box or some grocery bags to carry home your Creations. Be sure to dress comfortably.  Lunch and drinks will be provided for each student.  Unique tools as well as essential basic tools will be provided for students to use during class.  A student may opt to bring their own tools however.
 

Which airport should I use when attending a class in Virginia?

I would recommend using Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). It is only about 10 minutes from the class and even less time to all the local hotels. Shuttle Service is provided from most hotels in the area.

There are two optional airports you can fly into.  Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C. is about an hour drive. You may consider it if you are interested in doing some sight seeing while you are here. BWI Airport in Baltimore is a little more than an hour away but can work for you as well.  Keep in mind that heavy traffic delays may affect your commute to the class if you choose either of these two airports.
